Can I view my bill online?
Yes, you can view your bill by creating and logging into your CFU Online Account.
If I pay online, when will CFU receive the payment?
CFU receives immediate notification of online payments.
What if my bill is past due? Can I still pay online?
If your service is disconnected or if CFU has notified you of pending disconnection, do not pay online. Otherwise, it's ok to pay online even if your bill is late. If you need to make payment arrangements for a past-due bill, call CFU at 319-268-5281.
What are the free ways I can pay?

You can pay your utility bill without a convenience fee using any of these methods:

  • Automatic, reccurring payment (ACH) from savings or checking account. Once you register for automatic payment, your bill balance is securely and automatically deducted from an authorized account on the bill due date.
  • One-time electronic payment from a checking or savings account for registered CFU online utility account users. You must register for an online utility account to pay this way and avoid a convenience fee.
  • Payment through you bank - via internet banking, bill pay, EFT or bank check.
  • Payment with check, cash, or money order made by mail, deposited in our drop box or completed at our customer service counter.

Can I pay with a credit card or debit card?
Yes. You can pay with a debit or credit card either online or over the phone. However, there is a convenience fee of $5.25 per $600 (or less) payment. The convenience fee is charged by an independent payment provider and CFU will not receive any portion of this fee.
Can I set up automatic payment from a credit card?
No. If you want to make recurring automatic payments, use our Automatic Payment service to set up automatic, reoccurring payment (ACH) from a savings or checking account.
Are there maximum or minimum online payments?
Yes. The minimum amount you can pay online is $10. The maximum amount you can pay online in a single transaction is $600.
What if my utility bill is more than $600? Can I still pay online?
$600 is the maximum amount you can pay in a single transaction online. If you owe more than $600, you may split the amount into two or more online transactions to pay the entire amount of your bill online. However, if you are paying with a credit card, debit card, or electronic check, you will be charged a $5.25 convenience fee for each payment.
What if my utility bill is less than $10? Can I still pay online?
$10 is the minimum amount you can pay online. If you make a $10 online payment, any amount in excess of your balance due will be counted toward next month's bill. To pay less than $10, you'll need to use cash or a check, either at the office, at one of our drop boxes, or by mail.
Can I make a partial payment online? Or do I have to pay the full amount due?
Pay any amount between $10 and $600 in a single online transaction. Keep in mind though, if you are paying with a credit card, debit card, or electronic check, you will be charged a $5.25 convenience fee for each payment.
