We are CFU Spotlight: Jacob Boeschen, Energy Services Specialist

Jacob Boeschen is the Energy Services Specialist at CFU. Jacob and his colleagues are responsible for helping CFU customers use energy more efficiently.

Jacob conducts energy code inspections for all new buildings in Cedar Falls, provides energy audit services and offers cost-share rebate assistance to help customers install energy efficient equipment in their homes or businesses.

"Being able to educate CFU customers and community members about the benefits of energy related improvements is very fulfilling," says Jacob.

A key component of saving energy in the community is ensuring projects are built to use energy efficiently now and for the life of the building.

"Coming from the construction industry, I have a passion for building science and design," says Jacob. 

"I like to share that information and ensure we have the best possible construction methods occurring in our community."

Jacob enjoys that CFU has a longstanding tradition of prioritizing customer service.

"I think CFU has a tremendous focus on customer service and establishing that close-knit relationship with the community, community involvement and a great emphasis on their employees and taking care of everybody as if they were family," says Jacob.

"I'm very proud to represent CFU and continue to provide the level of service that's been established by decades of quality service and establishing that trust within the community."
