@CFU.net Webmail Service to End Beginning July 2025

If you are a @cfu.net webmail user, now is the time to transition to a new email platform. Cedar Falls Utilities will begin disabling email service July 2025. All users will need to migrate to a different email service before this time. 

CFU contracts with a vendor to provide the CFU webmail platform and host the service. Unfortunately, there are security, reliability and data backup concerns with the current email platform. 

Because of quality concerns, CFU is eliminating email service. Service will be disabled in phases, alphabetically by account holder last name.

Account Holders with Last Names A-G: Email service ending July 1, 2025

Account Holders with Last Names H-N: Email service ending September 1, 2025

Account Holders with Last Names O-Z: Email service ending November 1, 2025

At the noted time, customers will lose all access to CFU email accounts and all stored messages. 

We are communicating this now to give customers sufficient time to select and migrate to a new email service. 

Eliminate the security and data loss risks by making the switch to a new email address now. This will also allow ample time to notify contacts of the change and update all user account information associated with your cfu.net email.

The free email platform we recommend is Gmail.
