We are CFU Spotlight: Troy Williams, Gas & Water Crew Leader

Troy Williams is a Crew Leader in our Gas and Water Construction department at CFU. 

Troy started at CFU over 28 years ago washing cars and has since worked his way up throughout the company. 

In 2012 he was promoted to Crew Leader where he now helps his team complete the essential work needed to provide safe and reliable utility services to our customers. This includes installing new natural gas and water mains to housing additions moving mains for road construction and fixing water main leaks.

"I'm proud to work for CFU because we do a great job here" says Troy. "We put gas to customer's homes. We fix water mains. If a customer's water is out for some reason we try to get them on as fast as we can even if we have to skip lunch. It's all about the customer."

Employees like Troy take pride in providing reliable utility services to the community and act quickly if issues arise. 

"If there's something going on that we got customers out for some reason we do our best to get them back on as fast as we can" says Troy. "That's just our goal here. We'll sacrifice a little bit to get them what they need and get them going again."

Troy recognizes that his crew is able to provide this level of customer service because of the commitment to teamwork embraced by all CFU employees.

"We help Electric. Electric helps us and Communications. We're all like a big family."
