CFU.net Webmail Service to End Beginning July 2025

Cedar Falls Utilities will begin disabling @cfu.net webmail service July 2025. All users will need to migrate to a different email service before this time. 

CFU contracts with a vendor to provide the CFU webmail platform and host the service. Due to security, reliability and data backup concerns with the current email platform, CFU is eliminating email service. 

Service will be disabled in phases, alphabetically by account holder last name.

Account Holders with Last Names A-G: Email service ending July 1, 2025

Account Holders with Last Names H-N: Email service ending September 1, 2025

Account Holders with Last Names O-Z: Email service ending November 1, 2025

At the noted time, customers will lose all access to CFU email accounts and all stored messages. 

We are communicating this now to give customers sufficient time to select and migrate to a new email service. 

At this point in the process, users should have created a new email address to use, set up autoreply and forwarding on your CFU email and begun the process of transferring your old emails and contacts. 

This is also a great time to begin to notify critical contacts and change your online account logins.
