Cedar Falls High School Students Earn CFU Scholarship

Cedar Falls High School students Joseph Kenkel and Paige Steffen were selected as the 2024 Cedar Falls Utilities scholarship recipients. 

Applicants must continue their education after high school in a utility related field and complete a CFU job shadow. Students receive $1,500 towards tuition. 

Joseph will attend Northwest Community College to pursue a career as an electric line worker and Paige plans to study information technology at the University of Northern Iowa.

CFU's scholarship program helps students learn about utility-related career opportunities as well as creates a future generation of qualified job candidates for Cedar Falls Utilities. 

Up to three $1,500 scholarships are available each year. More details are available by contacting the Cedar Falls High School counseling office.

Students interested in pursuing a utility related career are encouraged to complete a job shadow with CFU.
